The consumer electronic industry needs to come up with some innovative ideas to keep their products in circulation. They bring new technology which attracts people to upgrade their gadgets. This year is bringing with it some interesting and innovative gadgets from Vaio’s 3D laptop to Sony Ericsson’s PSP phone. The list is based on 12 most awaited gadgets anticipated to launch in 2011.
Nintendo 3DS 
Nintendo 3DS is a 3.53-inch widescreen gaming console with 800-by-240-pixel resolution, glasses-free 3D, two rear-facing cameras (0.3 megapixel) for 3D imaging, one front-facing camera for head tracking, touchscreen, stylus inputs, ad hoc multiple-device Wi-Fi connection and 802.11 Wi-Fi. The new generation Nintendo 3DS, can be played without the need for special glasses. Nintendo 3DS debuted in Japan on February 26 and cost 25,000 yen (290 dollars) and it' is available in US and Europe markets. The currently available versions are the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi which sell for about $130 to $170.
Panasonic Lumix GF2 
Panasonic is introducing company’s smallest and lightest digital interchangeable lens system camera with flash. Even more, the LUMIX GF2 is compatible with Panasonic’s new 3D interchangeable lens, the LUMIX G 12.5mm / F12, so users can take 3D photos. The camera has touch-screen LCD with a 460,000-dot-resolution. The main features include: 12-megapixel resolution, 3D still image support, 1080i and 720p video capture, RAW, JPG, mostly touchscreen controls and 3-inch touchscreen LCD. The camera pricing will be announced approximately 30 days prior to shipment.
Hewlett-Packard WebOS Tablet 
The one-panel touchscreen, WebOS 2, touch and stylus inputs featured Hewlett-Packard WebOS Tablet will disclose it’s features at a media briefing on 9th February. A competitor to iPad, the new WebOS-based device would be about the same size as Apple’s iPad, but it would run on an updated version of Palm’s highly regarded WebOS, the smartphone OS in a tablet is anticipated to be a big winner for HP, and may pose a credible challenge to the iPad. It is available in market since march this year.
Sony Vaio 3D Laptop 
Sony Vaio’s 3D Laptop is a strategically designed laptop to convince people to upgrade their laptops. The laptop is equipped with a 16.0? full HD 3D LED widescreen backlit display that works with the same active shutter glasses used with the Bravia 3D TV. It’s main features include: Intel Quad Core i7-2630QM, Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit), up to 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz SDRAM – 6 GB standard (4GB+2 GB), 640GB SATA 7200rpm, 16.0” (40.6cm) Full HD (1920 x 1080) 3D VAIO Display Premium with LED back-lit control, NVIDIA GeForce GT540M graphics with 1GB DDR3 VRAM and DirectX 11 support, Standard Lithium-ion battery, Blu-ray Disc Drive, HDMI output, WLAN 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, HD web camera powered by Exmor, S-force 3D with Inbox bass-reflex speakers and Sound System: Intel High Definition Audio with Dolby Home Theater technology. The price is unknown.
Asus U36 Ultraportable Laptop 
This thin and light laptop from Asus is ultraportable. The product has hit the market with Core i3 or i5 processor, NVIDIA Optimus graphics, a four cell battery for ten hours of battery life. It has a 13.3 inch LED backlit screen, Intel Core i5-460M CPU, 2GB of system RAM, 500GB 7200RPM hard disk, HDMI output, USB 3.0 port, and Windows 7 Home Premium. It’s priced at $1000. A competitor to the Dell Adamo and the MacBook Air, at 0.75 inch the U36 is slightly thicker than either the Air (0.68 inch) or the Adamo (0.65 inch).
Apple iPad 2 
Apple's iPad 2 is the second coming of the tablet that defined the genre. It's thinner, lighter and faster than its predecessor. One of the most impressive things about the iPad 2 is its price. In the US, it will cost the same as the first iPad, but in the UK it will be £30 cheaper than the original iPad was when it launched. Lacking a built-in physical keyboard or mouse, Apple's wisely aimed to keep the iPad 2's interface simple -- small icons and fiddly tasks aren't welcome on a tablet, because you have to control it with your blunt, fleshy fingers. With the same touch-friendly user interface as the iPhone, but a bigger screen, even babies and cats could use the iPad 2.
10-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 
The 10-inch touchscreen Samsung Galaxy Tablet is hitting the market with the latest Android 3.0 OS (Honeycomb). It is expected to launch in the first half of 2011 as the General Manager of Samsung Ireland announced the launch of the tablet in early 2011. It will also have V8 JavaScript engine.
Microsoft Xbox 720 
This spaceship like fragile gaming console is the futuristic design of the new xbox 720. In an interview the head of Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Business division, Peter Moore told the press that ??the production team from the Xbox 360 is working on the next Xbox 720. There is no more news about the shape, specs, pricing and launch date of the new product.
Apple iPhone 5 
Apple’s most famous is a line of Internet and multimedia-enabled smartphones designed and marketed by Apple Inc. This summers apple is expected to be appearing in the market with it’s iPhone version 5. No media announcements are made till date but the rumor is in circulation. The phone is expected to be faster, thinner and lighter with more storage. It’s launch date, features and pricing details are unknown.
